Annie + Drew = Fishers Island Wedding

Annie and Drew had a wonderful wedding weekend on Fishers Island in New York! If you aren't familiar with where Fishers Island is, which I wasn't when they first contacted me, it's off the coast of NY and Connecticut, reaching by flight into NY or CT and then ferrying over. It's a beautiful island, so peaceful, and from every place on the island you get an incredible view! Annie's family owns property there and she summered there most of her life, so no better place could be thought of than Fishers Island for her and Drew to wed! It was a beatiful weekend with a rockin' party! Enjoy amazing photos by Sean and Mel of McLellan Style!!

Love the hand embrodered ring bearer pillow that Annie created! Wonderful wedding keepsake!

Buchanan Ink created the programs with the Fishers Island logo, which was used in many places over the weekend.

This was the most iconic, precious chapel/church I have ever had a wedding in! Loved it!

The escort cards were nestled in a wonderful antiqued box/sand set up! (This photo was taken after several guests had stolen their cards! :) )

Annie and Drew, thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of an amazing weekend on Fishers for the two of you! You were such a wonderful couple and I truly enjoyed the planning process with you both! We wish you guys so much love, happiness, and summers on Fishers! :)

Kelly Plans a Wedding: The Bride & Groom

While you may have seen my Delightful Day bio, I've never done a formal "Get to Know Me!" post on the Delightful Day blog! Without further ado, here I am-- and here's our story!

(Please pardon the blurry picture and the fact that all the pictures from our engagement night are so similar.) A little about me...

- I am 22 years old (the same age Annie Banks is in Father of the Bride when she gets engaged/married!!!!).

- I have worked with StudioWed since it opened in early 2010 - first as an intern (while I was studying at Belmont) and now as the Studio Manager.

-  My engagement ring is pear-shaped and I like to wear it with the round part up (pointy part down) when I look down at my hand.

- I am Southern, born and raised. I sobbed my eyes out when I found out at age 8 that Scarlett O'Hara was a fictional character.

- I love everything having to do with weddings… the flowers (swoon), the dresses (double swoon), the soft lighting and beautiful details, pretty paper goods, the traditions, and the variety of looks brides choose. I am the residential "wedding fairy godmother" to my girlfriends and take great pride in my extensive "All Things Wedding" Pinterest board.

And now, onto my fiance, Drew! A little about Drew… - Drew is a natural redhead! :) His red curly hair and striking green eyes were the first things that drew me (pun intended) to Drew! - Drew was the first (and last!) college boy I met, kissed, and took home to meet my parents. A mutual friend introduced us the night before classes started and we were inseparable by Day 4. - He works as an accountant for Reliant Bank currently (while he's finishing school and starting the CPA process) and begins work for the Kraft CPA Firm in August 2012. - Drew's probably the friendliest, most outgoing, sweetest, and funniest person you'll ever meet. I don't think he could go anywhere without making a friend. - He's also the most enthusiastic, excited person ever. Even if it's the smallest thing, he finds tremendous joy in everything he does. His family has a dog named Buddy that is pretty much the canine version of Drew:  red-haired, hyper, super-sweet, and loves to give kisses.

(and more recently, May 2011 at my sorority's formal)

To give you the brief version of "our story," boy meets girl, they're immediately smitten. Boy asks girl on walk, girl thinks "I'm going to marry him!" Boy gets girl's phone number and loses it. And then proceeds to wait in their shared dorm lobby until girl comes back down so he can re-retrieve said number. Boy and girl date, they break up for five grueling months (while still seeing each other on-and-off) and finally get back together for the long haul.

Fast-forward 2 and 1/2 years (4 and 1/2 years from the start!) and boy and girl are engaged!!!! Yaaaay!!!!

Lane + Matt = Nashville Wedding

Lane and Matt were such a sweet couple that were so in love with each other and had such a sweet family centered wedding in September! They wanted to make this day their own and share with everyone what they cared most about each other; personalizing their day and celebrating their love! Their wedding ceremony and reception both took place at Houston Station. Enjoy great images of Lane, Matt, and their wedding by Chesley Summars!

Too funny.... when the minister asked if Matt would take this woman, he huddled up with his guys for a pow wow on what his answer should be. Hilarious and show's their personalities!

 

"Lucky in Love" was Lane and Matt's first dance, and a very special song to them, so the lyrics were written in blocks on their cake. 

Being big Office and Lost fans, Shara created a collaboration cake of both shows!

One of Lane's favorite features of the dress she picked... the bottom tore away to reveal a reception dress!

Instead of a traditional guest book, Lane likes to sew, so they did quilt squares with messages from their guests that she will make into a quilt for them to keep.Love it!

Lane and Matt, I haven't seen a couple so in love in quite a while! I loved that you kept coming up and saying how much you loved him, I think I could have gone through a whole tissue box for you! :) We wish you guys many, many years of wedded bliss!
